The guitar video lessons from Justinguitar are yours completely free or, if you have a bit of cash to spare, you can donate to the upkeep of the website. A lot of people do and rightly so.

Owned and run by Aussie Justin Sandercoe, the amount of material in the form of written and video guitar lessons at Justinguitar is huge and growing all the time. You can start with the basics and quickly move on to more advance techniques as well as styles such as rock, funk and blues.

One thing I have found is that the website is becoming more useful to me the more I advance through the other guitar courses I own. Most of Justin's videos are around 9 minutes long and because they are hosted on YouTube it's not always easy to find and replay the section you want.

This can make things a little difficult for a true beginner, so bear that in mind when first using the website. Here's a sample video lesson to give you an idea of what's available:

Justin is a very experienced teacher and a very, very experienced guitarist. He's the principal guitarist for Katie Melua (be still my aching heart!) among others, and has a very laid back style that most people find easy to learn from.
